Dear Readers,
I was incredibly excited to open the package from the Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics; among all of the consumables to use in the garden, they sent a stack of information on each preparation, how to use it and some interesting biodynamic tips and of course, the North American Biodynamic Planting Calendar which has not been out of arms reach since it arrived!
The preparations were for compost as well as the horn manure and horn silica and horsetail preparations used during the growing and planting periods.
The information it came with also included proper storage and solution preparations for 1 acre. My garden is not that large so throughout this experiment, I’ll be using a small fraction of the preparations to 1 gallon of water for the small area I’m working in.
